"untold stories, part 1" is the first installment of an instrumental trilogy by newbie onto the abstract, lo-fi hip hop scene, Chieff.
Part 1 is filled with creative chops, simple but powerful loops of sound aimed to provoke feeling but offer a calming sense of relief.
The varying sounds are a theme to be expected from most of Chieff's work as he continues to express himself while finding his identity, both with his sound and reality.
At just 24 min long, the album is a quick burst of raw energy, and a great introduction to one of South Africa's most exciting new artists.
